Paragrafo

Dear students,
Below you will find an initiative that may be of particular interest to you.
The Blue Hack project is an Erasmus+ initiative promoted by Worldrise, in collaboration with the local partners Area Marina Protetta Capo Milazzo and MuMa – Museo del Mare di Milazzo. It involves young people aged 15 to 30, with a particular focus on university students, with the aim of strengthening their role in decision‑making processes related to marine conservation and the ecological transition of coastal areas.
At the heart of the programme is a national hackathon taking place in Milazzo on 5 and 8 June, during which participants will work collaboratively on real challenges linked to the marine environment, engaging with experts and local stakeholders.
The first day is dedicated to building the network of “Blue Hackers” and defining a shared vision: through training sessions, testimonials, and participatory workshops, students begin to develop ideas and recommendations on key marine‑related topics such as biodiversity, climate change, and sustainable tourism.
On the second day, the work shifts to concrete project design: groups develop proposals for local initiatives based on the needs of their territories, refine their ideas, and present them to a jury composed of institutional actors and environmental organisations, receiving feedback and potential development opportunities.
We have the possibility to involve up to 75 students from our University, particularly from the following Departments: CHIBIOFARAM, SCIPOG, LAW, DIMED, ENGINEERING, DICAM. Free bus transportation from Messina to Milazzo will also be provided.
The general programme is attached. To encourage participation, 1 CFU will be awarded.
To identify those who intend to take part in the Blue Hack project, please fill in the following form by 15 May at 9:00 p.m.

Only the first 75 university students who correctly complete the form will be able to participate
